3000 MK. 3 by

1:18 scale ; Left hand drive ; Solid red color ; Made in china

Austin Motor Company discovered the Healey day before the opening of the "Earls Court Motorshow" in the year 1952 at the show-booth of the Healey Motor Corporation. Leonard Lord, Austin Motor Corporation chief contacted Donald Healey immediately and bought the car's production-rights before the show was opened. The partnership that resulted in the name "Austin Healey" was comprised of Donald Mitchell Healey who designed the cars and Austin, the manufacturer. Donald Healey built the Healey with Austin parts which was ideal for the step Austin took. Austin Motor Co. saw the Healey as the perfect answer on Triumphs successful TR sportscar which sold very well in the United States. The Austin Healey 3000, also known as the "Big Healey", was 17,712 produced between 1959 and 1968. The Healey 3000 was the follow-up to the successful 100/4 and 100/6 Healey's.Unfortunately Austin Healey became a victim of the BMC rationalisation programme, sadly the 3000 was axed in 1968 to make way for the ill-fated MGC. I love this beautifull car shape, typical british classic car by austin, always memorize and never date fashioned.

No doubt and criticize about this pretty face, absolutely perfect. You can see old fashioned headlamp looked with classic chrome cover, classic crome bumper, crome front grill and air intake like high class vehicle at the past time. There are several car detail like fog lamp include fog bar, crome spy glass, clear plastic for dim light, orange plastic for turn light signal, austin healey badge and old fashioned british racing wheel. All of them combine with solid red color include classic british racing style body work made this car as a masterpiece work, do you agree? On this front side you would adore this beautifull car which never leave your hearth from her and told you about the great Austin Healey mode. The weakness of this model is the body joint, it should use crome material not silver color:(

Rear shape is not dissapointed still on outrangeous look. The gas cap cannot be opened, the hinge just detailed didin't function. As i said before body joint didin't use crome material, just paint in silver. Lamp with crome case still can see at back side, classic crome bumper and teardrop back side like sport car. Look carefully at the trunk handle, it is so reallistic, but you should be carefull to clean and polish it. You'll be upset if broke. The additional side lamp is not using plastic color, just paint in red. I think this car still a sportcar than roadster.

Well, you can choose to close the roof or keep it convertible, Kyosho offered extra roof option. Nice model with opened hood, trunk, and doors. There are spare tire with leather tight and battery in the trunk, where is the real trunk for my luggages?

Wood panel made this car so elegance and present luxurius charmed british look. The detail was great, look at the rubber carpet with austin healey logo on the legs room, a lot of tiny part detail at the door trim. As a suggestion, this is fragile model, you should be VERY CAREFULLY with tiny detailed like door handle, window handle, etc.

SU HD6 1 3/4 inch carburetors on the body came with the 1962 Austin Healey 3000, supply Six-cylinder engine power with 2912 cc capacity equipped with 4 speed manual + overdrive. Output however was almost to 124 bhp at 5250 rpm. Zero to Sixty acceleration was typically 10.5 seconds and the top speed  approx 120 mph - 190 km/h. There is "austin " word and engine code at the overhead cam, wires, oil filter, chrome carburator? on the body, radiator cap and others detail. You can see austin healey badge and beautifull airflow grill, nice sculpture.

The bottom side is great. engine block and transmission painted in aluminium, muffler system with chrome.(?) Kyosho separated rear black differential color with black chassis color, I thnk this greal detail.

The 3000 was the first Healey fitted with power-assisted brakes and disc brakes on the front wheels. The 3000 was to be the last "big" Austin Healey. Look carefully behind the rim, there is dishbreak, but the dish cannot rotate followed the wheel. There are a break pads too at the front, the rear break not equiped with break pads, i suppose it was caused using drum system.

The Scale Point is:

Body = 8
Paint = 10
Decal = 10
Break = 6

Wheel = 10
Light = 9
Interior = 10
Grill = 10

Engine = 10

Chassis = 9

Average Point = 8 / 10
