Z8 by

1:18 scale ; Left hand drive ; Lustrous jet black color ; Made in china

This is the first model of my collection. Bayerische motoren werke Z8 roadster, the latest limited production Bimmer to be built as an expression of the company's passion for driving. BMW's plans only call for building approximately 5,000 Z8s over a four-year production schedule at the end of November ’02, with roughly 1600 marked for U.S. delivery. The initial design challenge was to come up with a contemporary interpretation of what the classic 507 which designed by Count Albrecht Goertzmight have evolved into, had it continued production over the past 40 years. These model represented by Autoart has beautifull body work, painted with lustrous jet black color, chrome spy mirror, crome side air outlet,  BMW plate logo as you seen on real BMW. This car have reputation as "James Bond car" in silver color, you can watch james bond in "The world is not Enough" film.

The bodies are constructed and painted at BMW's Dingolfing plant, situated about 60 miles northeast of Munich. Both front and rear bumpers are made in nearby Landshut. Completed bodies are shipped to the former pilot plant area of BMW's Milbertshofen factory in Munich for final assembly. The construction team is a small one and consists of premiere craftsmen who piece the car together primarily by hand in 31 assembly steps The Z8's total build period with final fit and finish, is roughly 10 times longer than it takes to complete a 3 Series sedan.

This side represent BMW badge as look as the real BMW badge, chrome border grill, airflow front grill and roadster's advanced lighting technology includes dynamically adjustable Xenon headlamps with high-pressure washers concealed in the leading edges of the headlamp covers. The Z8 is the first car ever with neon turn signals that illuminate ten times faster than conventional bulbs, giving other drivers more time to react.

The Z8's after section is an extension of the overall profile, and works well with the car's romantic aura. The stance is muscular over the properly fitted wheels and tires, for a totally stunning impact. The wide rear incorporates neon tail lamps that are brighter and activate more quickly than the incandescent variety. Another example of the attention to detail the Z8's designers lavished on the new roadster is the two round, red lights on either side of the rear license plate. The left light is a rear fog lamp, marking the first time BMW has sold a car with such a safety device as standard equipment in the U.S. market. The right light is the back-up light that, despite its red lens, illuminates in white when the driver selects reverse gear.

Featured an exterior finished in a rich, lustrous Jet Black with matching interior panels complemented by a natural Nappa softleather upholsterydone in contrasting black and red. Enclosed door storage compartments for both doors are finished in body color, as is the waterfall panel with its bold Z8 logo, between the seat backs(see 1st picture).

This is the perfect one, metal dashboard accented with body-color painted surfaces and aluminum control knobs, a product of astounding attention to detail. The model crafted like an aluminium dashboard the real Z8 plus visible plastic on the speedometer and tachometer. Red and black color determination of this car growth a driving aura on this car, hard to say to criticize this model.

Beneath the long, flowing, sculpted hood is nestled the heart of the Z8 -- the same 5.0 liter DOHC (4-cam) V-8 engine that powers the incredible BMW M5 sedan (the most powerful production BMW engine to date). The engine is fed fuel through a "Drive-by-wire" electronically controlled throttle system consisting of 8 individual throttles (one for each cylinder). Valve timing and operation is variably controlled by BMW's double VANOS system. This phenomenal powerplant cranks out nearly 400 horsepower (394) and 368 pound feet of torque, which will propel it from 0-60 mph in a scant 4.5 seconds. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a positive shifting 6-speed manual transmission with Getrag six-speed manual transmission and specially reinforced clutch, also from the M5, is mated to the Z8's engine. Sixth gear is overdrive. The net result of all this industry-leading, high-performance technology is an elegant sports car that will sprint from a standstill to 60 miles-per-hour in a soul-stirring 4.5 seconds while producing engine sounds and an exhaust note car enthusiasts have called a "mechanical symphony." To enhance that symphony, engineers deliberately matched the exhaust note to engine load. While cruising, it is a deep rumble. As soon as the driver "pushes" the engine, the sound changes to a thrilling crescendo, all the while complying with worldwide sound standards.

The most visible component of the engine compartment, the carbon-fiber air collector cover, bears the famous script "BMW M Power." The engine compartment itself is finished in the same high-gloss paintwork as the roadster's exterior.

Autoart didn't forgot about bottom line. I don't know this is as seen on the real Z8, cause i never saw Z8 from the bottom view:)

The Z8 rides on 18-inch wheels shod with low profile, run-flat technology tires -- the rear wheels and tires are wider than those up front. this model equipped with movable dish break and different color with break pad, so reallistic. The side air flow was detailed crafted carefully.
